What is A Christian

nice poem

What is a Christian
By Maya Angelou

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting “I’m clean livin’.
”I’m whispering “I was lost,
Now I’m found and forgiven.”

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say… “I am a Christian”
I’m not holier than thou,
I’m just a simple sinner
Who received God’s good grace, somehow!

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Well, for those who don't know, I'm back in Kch..it's been about 3 weeks lar actually, but was lazy to update my blog.. hehe sorry. Anyways, this is my last holiday before I go to Japan on april 2nd.I'll be flying to kl on the 30th of march though.

This holiday has been quite eventful. There are some things that are sweet and memorable, and some that are better left unsaid... hehe.Well, the main thing I have been doing is playing computer games and rot at home, but I did went out with Flet and Jas to play badminton or watch movies occasionally. Some of these meetings were quite fun.

And then, a week ago, I went to Kenyalang Community Center to watch the Gary Chau and Victor Wong performance with Fabby and my lil sister.Gary Chau's performance was short and quite disappointing.Victor wong's was very lively and cool. He's a crowd pleaser, I guess.. Got to practice some camera skills during this time..haha.very bad shots....so blur.. Anyways, Fabian seems to be doing well, not going to KL anymore, doing his masters here. Cool lar, a few more years and we have a Professor in our midst!haha

And about my kai mei (lil sis), Fabby thought she was my gf..hahaha....well, he was commenting on my gestures to her, I guess. But I don't think they were sexual gestures.. Affectionate maybe lar. I admit that I tried to be affectionate (like a brother) lar.. hehe. well, although she's still quite quiet at times, I've learned a lot about her and her life on the phone, and a bit worried now.. but I guess all I can do is pray.

And another thing is my NEPHEW (cousin's son).Man, he's really quite annoying sometimes. But I guess he doesn't mean to annoy me most of the times. And he loves to burn discs for me and visit me and sms me every day and night.. goodness, I've bought 3 reload cards this month only!Well, We'll stay in contact, but not that close. He's too loud lar... in sms i mean.. haha..but on the whole, he's an innocent and good kid.I'll pray for u, boy.

The last thing I would like to talk about is Love. I'm getting tired of using 'the girl i like' to refer to her.. haha.Let's try.. "N". Well, N gave me a book entitled Choosing God's Best by Dr Don Raunikar before I came back.. Basically, the book is about saying 'no' to dating and going back to the old fashioned way of courting.Well, it didn't really touched me on the dating part lar..Human love can wait..But the important message that got through to me was about serving the Lord and nurturing the fruit of the Spirit in ourselves. Before I want to think about Human Love, I want to Serve the Lord and honour Him first.

And I know everyone wants to know if N is my gf now.The answer is No.Well, actually, some ppl have asked more than twice about this, so let me explain our relationship. We've agreed that it's useless to be in a relationship now, and that we're not mature enough to handle a relationship. Many of us think that being in a romantic relationship makes us more mature and improves our character, but I think a lot of ppl who have failed in romantic relationships know that this is not true. Some people may become mature and improve in character in the course of a relationship, but the relationship itself almost always has no part in that change. That is why I believe we should only enter a relationship when we are mature enough and have nurtured our character well.If God should meet us up again and show us that we are really made for each other in the future, then, we will unite.Until then.....

Last words before I leave, well, none, really....just that I'll miss everyone and will try to get back in contact with u guys when I'm back. For those who know my blog and have friendster, please stay in contact! Thanks guys!

Ishihara Satomi

Yes Yes I'm in love! haha.. oklar I won't make an idol out of an actress, but she really is a great actress and girl, for that matter. Bought her drama Nurse Aoi last year at Speedy, was on offer.. hehe.it's a great drama!Really touching and beautiful drama with lots of laugh and suspense too.Not ur average cry-baby drama(korean i mean, hehe).Satomi Chan's act is perfect and her smile is especially sweet. =P

But I'm disappointed that her pictures are very scant on the net and her official website and fansite are sort of rundown.. poor darling.... guess everyone's more interested in those young 13 and 14 yr olds in sexy bikinis and minis...... sigh..

Heaven Is So Real

I have recently read Heaven is So Real by Choo Thomas, borrowed to me by my nephew.. surprisingly, my nephew said it's the easiest book to read out of all the books he read. haha crazy.

Well, anyways, have asked some of my christian friends and found out some of them felt uncomfortable reading this book..So, I tried to find some info on the net and stumbled on this blog with interesting comments. http://www.yvonnefoong.com/archives/2005/08/heaven-is-so-real/#/ the blogger is malaysian by the way. =D

Well, it depends if u want to read the comments or not, but my message is simple. If you're interested in the book and need to be revived in your faith, go grab it!But do not focus too much on the spiritualism and occultism explained in the book, lest you too feel tempted to try it. There are evil spirits out there which are able to fool us into oblivion.Every spiritual experience with the Holy Spirit is a personal one. Not every experience is the same. The first and utmost thing is to seek the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:31-33)

And please do not judge the author Choo Thomas based on your own understanding. Her message is simple, have faith, pray hard , and prepare yourself for the second coming, not preaching a new gospel. At the same time, do not be carried away with her book but after you finish it, return to the Holy Bible.
